Upon arrival at Calicut railway station, you will be met & received by our representative and will be transferred to your resort in Mudumalai National Park. Mudumalai is in the north west side of the Nilgiri hills of Tamilnadu & is one of best sanctuaries with thickly wooded hills, plateaus, deep valleys, waterfalls, rivers, marshes and streams. The area is also being termed as Madumalai Tiger Reserve due to the presence of around 48 tigers in the Nilgiri Reserve across which tigers are free to roam. In April 2007, the Tamil Nadu state government declared Mudumalai as a Tiger Reserve. Arrive Mudumalai and check into your resort. Rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the calm serenity of the forest resort. Stay Overnight at Mudumalai.
Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary is located at the foot of the Nilgiri hills or Blue Mountains in Tamil Nadu. The sanctuary is mainly an elephant preserve, with over 600 pachyderms here. Mudumalai is actually made up of a number of hunting preserves - Kargudi, Theppakkadu and Masinagudi. Today we will have two safaris in the Jungle to spot the wildlife and to explore the Mudumalai National Park. We will get to see jackals on the hunt for smaller animals & different packs of dholes or wild dogs are operational in Mudumalai, largely preying on deer. Chital, sambar, gaur, tiger, panther, dhole, sloth bear, wild boar, Jungle cats, porcupine, mongoose and civet are other residents. Later, we return to the resort for breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, we leave for another safari for wildlife exploration in Mudumalai National Park. Stay Overnight at Mudumalai.
Early morning, we will have our last Safari / Game Drive into the Mudumalai National Park. Later transfer to Calicut railway station to board the train for your onward journey.
